Tax reform for Connecticut PDF Print E-mail

Connecticut swings back into action with a simple, elegant bill proposing a tax on land values.
Expert testimony will be given by Joshua Vincent of the Philadelphia-based think tank Center for the Study of Economics in the second week of February, in front of appropriate committees.

The bill would permit a split rate on property and land in cities larger than 100,000 (which is Hartford, New Haven, Stamford, Bridgeport, Waterbury).
