South Australia 'land tax uproar' |

South Australian opposition to taxes on land values continue.
Members of the Liberal Party are contemplating "how the government can be forced into taking urgent action to ease the tax burden." In some instances South Australia's land tax bills have recently been increased with as much as 500%. Opposition leader Rob Kerin said the meeting, the largest in a series of five gatherings around the state, sent a clear message to the government that ordinary people in the community are suffering because of their refusal to adjust the land tax structure.
