As house price inflation is slowing down - the typical house price in Scotland has increased by a modest 7.8% in the past year - rural property prices are shooting up.
Galashiels in the Scottish Borders leads the charge and has seen increases more than 42% as plans for a new rail link is moving forward. Full story in The Herald.
