Russia's upper house turns down law land tax bill PDF Print E-mail

Kremlin at NightITAR-TASS reports that the Federation Council, the upper house of Russian parliament, has turned down the law bill on adding a chapter on land tax to the Tax Code of the Russian Federation. Only 18 of the 198 Federation Council members voted in favor of the change to the Tax Code.

The Upper House decided to propose forming a conference commission with the State Duma to finalize the document taking into account the interests of the bodies of local self-government and of research and cultural organizations.
