The discovery of an estimated 750 billion cubic feet coalbed methane holdings in Coos County, Oregon made local land values soar - and would bring in as much as $1 million per day to Coquille's Methane Energy Corporation.
Locals who give up their mineral rights recieve would get an eighth of the company's revenue - but voices of discontent have been raised following denials of mineral right buy-backs from local environmentalists.
