No new schools in Brixton says Council PDF Print E-mail

Because of the enormous land prices in inner-city London, two comprehensive schools in the borough of Brixton, south London, are not being built.
The necessary land is simply too expensive for the deprived council, even though a group of campaigners have independently raised £4m in sponsorship for two comprehensives. The Guardian has the story.
