New Hampshire revaluation reflects soaring land values PDF Print E-mail

About 3,200 parcels of land in Newmarket, New Hampshire has undergone reassessment, reports the Exeter News.
"Land values have skyrocketed" in the last five years, said Newmarket's tax assessor, Andy Blais. By contrast, the values of improved properties haven't increased nearly as much. He explained that in 1999 a home site, or land with nothing on it, might go for less than $50,000, while now that same parcel would sell for more than $100,000.
