Nevada residents file appeals over land tax increase PDF Print E-mail

Residents of Incline, Nevada, have filed more than 1,200 appeals with the Washoe County Board of Equalization over an eight percent increase in land values.
Residents of the upscale north Lake Tahoe community also protested after land values climbed 31 percent in 2003. Despite soaring real estate prices, only 60 other county property owners have appealed their property taxes this year. (AP)
