A recent study found that rising land values are causing Georgia farmers and companies to sell their undeveloped land for industrial purposes.
David Newman, professor of forest economics at Georgia University, and David Wear of the USDA Forest Service, collaborated on a recent study of rural development as a threat to woodlands across Georgia.
