Council tax boon repealed in Scotland PDF Print E-mail

The 50% council tax rebate that owners of second and empty homes is now over and done with in Scotland.
Scottish finance minister Andy Kerr announced today (see BBC story) that councils will now be able to set the rebate as low as 10 percent.

This undoubtedly help secure more efficient use of housing and will ensure that home owners help pay for basic local amenities.
