Boom in Danish house prices predicted to end PDF Print E-mail

The property price inflation in Denmark will continue throughout 2005 but will be over in 2006, says Steen Bocian, senior analyst at Danske Bank in Danish business dail Borsen.
"We're beginning to approach more normal circumstances. In 2005 increases will continue to be decent. But from 2006 we will be on level with the inflation," he says.

Danish property prices are rising at a much slower pace than in Britain; from the first to second quater of 2004 holiday homes have increased 10.1% while flats have increased 5.1% and houses a mere 3.7%. The value of undeveloped land up to 2,000 square meters has increased by 1%.

Land&Liberty has reported similar predictions from Scandinavia before.
