On the first day of the G8 Conference, Make Poverty History champion Bob Geldof encouraged protesters and Live8 gig goers outside the Henry George Foundation's Edinburgh premises from where Land&Liberty is edited.
L&L editor Peter Gibb managed to penetrate the crowd of fans, journalists and onlookers in order to give Geldof a copy of Mark Braund's book The Possibility of Progress (Shepheard-Walwyn, 2005 - available from reformers, the Henry George Foundation bookshop, at only £14.95).
