Evidence that land values are created by nature and the efforts of people working as a community comes from the property pages of newspapers.
Wendover in Buckinghamshire is recommended by the Mail on Sunday of the 21st November 2004. Why? As the paper says "Good schools, punctual trains, a thousand years of history and beautiful Chilterns countryside all come at a price, and houses in Wendover are not cheap."

Arsenal a Winner according to the The Sunday Telegraph of the 21st November 2004 " As the fortunes of Arsenal football club rise, so do those of the property market around its north London home. Now a new stadium, and with it plans for 2,000 homes, it will bring a £1 billion investment to the area."

Land Values. Ross Clark writing in The Mail on Sunday dated the 28th November 2004 in reply to a Surrey readers letter asking if they should accept an offer from a builder to buy part of their garden for £20,000advises caution. He writes "You live in a well-heeled part of Surrey where homes cost a lot. You shouldn't sell the land unless you are convinced you have got a fair share of the developer's profits. The value of a building plot can be anything up to 50 per cent of the value of the finished property."

Exeter is the Place to live. According to a Halifax survey property prices in Exeter have risen by 156pc in five years. This is faster than any other city in Britain. The average price of a house in Exeter is now £199,018. A spokesman for the City Council quoted in "The Daily Telegraph" 27th November 2004 said "There has been a £90 million investment in education and all five high schools are being rebuilt. We have a three-star hospital which is a leader in treating diabetes. People do look at these things when they consider moving house." In addition a number of employers have recently relocated to Exeter. All this has added greatly to the value of property in this University City.
